Legal requirements for cash registers duty

The cash registers obligation is the obligation to capture all cash receipts with an electronic cash register, if the annual turnover of a company exceeds EUR 15,000, – and the cash turnover per business per year exceed EUR 7.500, -.

This naturally also applies for companies in the waste, biomass and building materials industry. Many of these companies are already using a fully automated logistics control system for clearing and settlement for the goods which are usually transported in bulk or large containers.
So it is obvious to meet the legal requirements within the logistics control system.

For this reason, since 2016 users of the logistics control system BLS by Rudolf Berthold Ges.m.b.H have a comfortable module “Cash Register” at their disposal.

Well-known customers rely on cash registers solution of Rudolf Berthold Ges.m.b.H

For known operators of waste incineration plants or waste management companies in Austria, the provisions of the mandatory cash registers are valid as well.

Therefore, for users of the logistics control system BLS the newly developed module “cash register” by Rudolf Berthold Ges.m.b.H is integrated into the existing system on time. Thus, all production sites which are equipped with BLS and paying cash, meet the governmental regulations in full with the least possible effort.

Rapid and accurate implementation

Based on the BLS functions “cashbook” and “billing”, the BLS module “cash register” was created. In a first step, this module includes the creation of the unchangeable, exportable data collection protocol and receipt creation according to the specifications. The data is backed up with appropriate encryption via a suitable interface to the existing backup system without changing options.

In a second step, a unit for signature creation is integrated, with which all the supporting documents are signed. With the information on the cash register identification number, the encrypted status of the turnover counter, the serial number of the certificate signature and the signature value of the previous cash turnover, the signature is created and also printed on the documents as a QR code (2017). Since there still may be and are adjustments by the authorities, this feature will be implemented at a later date.

Exception for machines: For existing pay machines (installed before 31.12.2015) a transitional period applies. A readjustment must take place here in 2027., which is the reason why we do not plan such a readjustment for our customers in order to not cause unnecessary costs.

“With its logistics control system BLS, Rudolf Berthold Ges.m.b.H regularly and on time cares for specification-accurate process management and process documentation. BLS supports its users to comply with the latest governmental regulations, whether by individual functions or easy to implement modules. These can be added via update to the existing system at any time without having to re-set up the system.” summaries Joachim Berthold, CEO, the efforts of Rudolf Berthold Ges.m.b.H to stand on its customers’ side with highly efficient and flexible solutions.
