BLS Waste – the industry-specific module

The BLS logistics control system offers a wide range of functions for the collection and disposal of waste:

  • Complete documentation
All incoming and outgoing materials, their origin and their further processing are all completely documented.
They are classified based on the waste catalogue, for which the product classes and waste specifications are continuously reconciled with the official requirements.
Travel distances and routes for waste collection are also taken into account.
When collecting waste in smaller communities, it is even possible to allocate quantities to different organisations.

  • Ongoing optimization

All data are processed and provided to the incineration plant control system so that energy production can be continuously optimized.

EDM registration

The EDM regulation requires that all material flows be electronically documented for all waste classes. The information that is needed for EDM registration are recorded automatically for transactions with regular customers.

One-time transactions can be completed by way of manual entry. The BLS logistics control system supports all entry variants and processes that are currently defined in the regulation and completes a plausibility check.

This means that the BLS logistics control system issues not only technically correct, but also complete registration notices.
These can then be submitted directly to the responsible agency from BLS in the correct XML format.

BLS assists you with many different internal processes:

Hazardous waste

All processes and documentation for the disposal of hazardous waste are already fully integrated into BLS. Signifi cantly stricter standards apply for hazardous waste than for standard household refuse.
This makes classifi cation especially important, and is the reason that the laboratory module for determining the contents of the waste is fully integrated into BLS and records all information accordingly. Storage, whether it is in tanks, barrels or other containers, is also documented in full and is fully traceable. BLS generates all the shipping documents needed for the transport of hazardous goods, and prepares the online registration with the authorities.

Container management and handling

Waste, especially hazardous waste, is also transported and disposed of in many different kinds of containers. BLS provides for optimal management here with its integrated container handling functions:

The system keeps track of and manages reusable and disposable containers and shipping materials. This is also needed for determining the exact weight of the actual product. And these containers must of course be properly stored and manipulated in accordance with the safety regulations before disposal.

To this end, the QM tool is used to exactly document and label each container upon receipt, and the storage location and all handling (thinning, pouring together, etc.) are documented in full.

Automatic bunker management and quality management

BLS includes complete waste, bunker and fuel value management, which allows the material fl ows to be planned correctly in good time and to be distributed optimally when multiple plants are operated in large towns.

This is especially important for waste incineration plants that must account for different quantities of waste depending on the season, holidays and special days or events.

Here, BLS helps with planning so that the incoming quantities can be accommodated and so that suffi cient fuel will be available during longer periods with lower levels of incoming materials.

From the offer to the invoice with interfaces to ERP and PLS systems

BLS covers the complete logistical process, from the offer to the invoice. BLS includes a bidding module that can create offers optimally based on the waste catalogue and the price lists that are stored in the system.

The offers can be transformed into orders, including the assignment of the necessary number of individual incoming deliveries, enabling you to optimally complete all upstream processes with scheduling and incoming goods inspections.

During the incoming goods inspection, the weight is not only entered, but photos and shipping documents are also added to the transaction to ensure complete documentation. Individual or collective invoices can be generated from the delivery confi rmations in the database and then sent to the customer.

All delivery and invoice data can also be processed automatically in upstream ERP systems such as SAP, or sent to these systems in offline form.
