As part of the expansion of the company headquarters in Pottendorf, BERTHOLD is taking a big step towards more sustainability with a new photovoltaic system.

A photovoltaic system with around 100 m2 was recently put into operation on the roof of BERTHOLD’s main building. 56 solar modules provide an output of around 21 kWp. This should generate around 22.7 MWh of electricity per year with solar energy.

The electricity generated is primarily used for the company’s own requirements: In addition to the classic consumers such as servers, workplaces, building cooling and kitchens, 2 electric charging stations for electric cars will soon be available.

This investment brings BERTHOLD a big step closer to its goal of making a clearer contribution to more climate friendliness: around 1.93 t of CO2 are saved each year.
