New EVN biomass heating plant in Guntramsdorf

For the sustainable supply of further parts of Guntramsdorf and parts of the industrial center Lower Austria south, EVN Wärme GmbH is building a biomass heating plant on the outskirts of Guntramsdorf. Already in the heating season 2016/2017, the installation should deliver environmentally friendly natural heat.

The logistics control system for this power plant, which is currently under construction, is implemented by Rudolf Berthold Ges.m.b.H. Specifically, the reliability of our solution and the easy to implement work-work functionality led the responsible decision-makers to deepen the partnership with Berthold.

We are pleased that in addition to the automated biomass cogeneration plants Baden and Mödling and the integration of the heating plant in Tulln and numerous non-automated, small heating plants into the overall solution, the plant in Guntramsdorf will be equipped with the flexible BLS technology.

The segment weighbridge is coupled to a BLS-operator terminal, a direct link to the EVN’s logistics control system BLS in Baden and Mödling will be established. A separate biomass workplace including oven and precision balance ensures reliable sampling with calorific value determination for quality-related accounting.

Ultrafiltration: Control technology for banknote printing

Again we can look forward to the realization of a great control project as general contractor for the innovative treatment of wiping liquors in banknote printing, together with our partner Water Treatment GmbH (WTG).

Rudolf Berthold Ges.m.b.H has been working for a long time with optimized control technology for wiping solution purification equipment for banknote printers. The automation specialist is present at the whole control technology share (electrical, instrumentation and control technology) along with visualization, from engineering and manufacturing to commissioning on site.

Water Treatment GmbH (WTG), headquartered in Wr. Neustadt / Austria, bundles as a general contractor specialized and innovative engineers with decades of experience, inter alia, in the field of plant. The core competence is both in the planning, process engineering, the design and implementation as well as the site supervision and project management of complete processing plants.

An existing drying and filling system has been extended to a second line, the machine components for this are supplied and mounted by Andritz / NL. The integration of the ultra-modern "Drum Dryer" and "Big Bag filling station" was placed in the hands of Rudolf Berthold Ges.m.b.H, as well as the integration into the existing visualization system for optimized monitoring of the entire system.

We take this task over from competent engineering to commercial application and will handle this control project as usually to the full satisfaction of the customer.
