HIGHEST AVAILABILITY

In the case of logistics control systems in particular, an interruption in operations can mean very high downtime costs very quickly. BERTHOLD has always offered fail-safe and tailor-made solutions for long-term economical operation:

NAS standard

Every logistics control system from BERTHOLD is equipped with a NAS system in a standardized manner. NAS systems (Network Attached Storage Systems) are client-independent storage media in the network that are designed for continuous operation. In the event of a malfunction, a manual reboot of the system is usually sufficient and the data is available again in the shortest possible time.

High Availability (HA)

By using 2 NAS systems, a highly available system can be designed in connection with an additional power server, a network switch and an additional UPS. All important system components are therefore available redundantly. In the event of a failure, the other component is automatically switched to.

High Performance (HP)

This is achieved by using a SAN system instead of the standard NAS system: SAN (Storage Area Networks) are designed for serial, continuous high-speed transfers of large amounts of data. SAN enables multiple servers to be connected to multiple storage systems over a network.

High Avialability & High Performance (HAHP)

Some factory situations or applications require high availability with exceptionally high data volumes. In this case, the BERTHOLD control centers are set up with 2 SAN systems. In the event of a failure, an identical storage system with exaxtly the same database status is available. A reboot is not necessary.

PERIPHERAL HARDWARE

BERTHOLD delivers turnkey complete systems including all necessary peripheral devices. The device types and manufacturers have been carefully selected with a lot of experience. Numerous practical applications confirm the optimal interaction of the components used.
