"Innovative solutions in control technology do not exclude a cost-saving implementation," says Christian Hauser, project manager at Rudolf Berthold Ges.m.b.H, adding: "This is where our great expertise in the handling of individual projects and the close cooperation with AWVWNS employees are important. “

Joachim Berthold, MAS, Managing Director of Rudolf Berthold Ges.m.b.H, is pleased with the close partnership: "Numerous projects have resulted in a long-standing, close business relationship." and explains an important point of corporate philosophy: "Through long-term partnerships – be it with customers or suppliers – the competencies of both companies can be perfectly bundled and a win-win situation is created. We will continue to pursue this successful path. "

Several projects for the modernization and expansion of the sewage treatment plant, as well as of upstream plants, will soon be put into operation for the AWVWNS:

Project "grit trap"

In the so-called "screening chamber" it is necessary to convert the mechanical slides from manual control on site to remotely controllable control as well as to integrate the entire unit into the existing visualization.

The joint, detailed preliminary planning is a perfect basis for the project to be completed quickly and successfully. The PLC programming including integration into the existing process control system and the adaptation of the visualization and is carried out with the provision of the control cabinet by AWVWNS.

Project "Subdistributor 7 – UV07"

As part of extensive modernization work in the secondary sedimentation tank, the control cabinet and its flow measurement will also be updated according to the latest state of the art. As usual, we focus on rapid and detailed planning to ensure trouble-free commissioning. The scope of the project also includes the integration into the existing control technology, including the visualization of all relevant data.

Project "Biogas"

The Wastewater Association Wiener Neustadt South is also a producer of biogas, part of which is in the form of biomethane in the natural gas network of the city of Wiener Neustadt. In order to ensure the delivered gas quality as well as the documentation, the measurement is now to be carried out using the latest gas flow meter with integrated analysis function.

By Rudolf Berthold Ges.m.b.H integrated into the existing process and communication system and control, the measured values are then also available by clear visualization.

Project "Pumping Station Neudörfl"

The sewage of 15 municipalities is combined and cleaned in Wiener Neustadt. The Wastewater Association Wiener Neustadt also operates numerous pump stations, which ensure a controlled inflow.

With the Neudörfl pumping station, the association will take over another station in its responsibility. As a preparatory activity, the pumping station is brought to the latest state of the art in the usual way with regard to electrical and control technology:
  • Remote control and integration into the existing control system
  • Electrify and renew the inlet valve
  • Radar level measurement for rainwater basin
  • Replacement of the central cabinet

As is already the case for the pumping stations in Katzelsdorf, Lichtenwörth, Schiltern and Neunkirchen, Rudolf Berthold Ges.mb.H will reliably implement these tasks, together with preliminary detailed planning.

Joachim Berthold concludes: "We are happy to provide our comprehensive know-how in the areas of process control and visualization to your company as well. Talk to us, if necessary, whether it is the setting up of new or the optimization/modernization of existing systems. "
