The face of waste management is changing. What is the motivation for ecological decisions? Do the raw material markets influence waste management? What are the effects of structural changes in Austria? The waste industry conference of the Austrian Water and Waste Management Association (Österreichischer Wasser- und Abfallwirtschaftsverbandes) has become the meeting place for communal and private waste management representatives in Austria.

As part of new Waste Incineration Ordinance (Abfallverbrennungsverordnung) and Waste Balance Ordinance (Abfallbilanzverordnung), waste processing plants must send comprehensive information on the movement of waste (arrivals, departures, transfers) to the authorities once a year in a form specified by the Federal Ministry.
