90% rail transport or external waste loading station for EVN

The EVN thermal waste processing plant in Dürnrohr/Lower Austria supplies 170,000 households with heating and electricity every year.
The energy required is generated from up to 500,000 tonnes of waste which is recovered through thermal processing. This process is unique on a global scale. 90% of the waste required is delivered by rail – which saves 40,000 HGV journeys every year.

The largest biogas plant in Lower Austria
